摘要
This study is an experimental quality assessment of Jornal Nacional's (JN) coverage on the environment, based on the relevance requirement. The method used was the Journalistic Agenda Guide (GAJ), which compares the relevance of themes in the monitored agendas (political/governmental and public agendas) with the relevance of themes in JN's agenda. The more convergent these themes are, in theory, the higher the quality of coverage they receive. The result showed that JN provided good overall coverage, but a few subthemes were satura-ted while others tended to be glossed over or ignored. The diagnosis of this study can help JN improve its approach on the theme and help agents monitor and propose guidelines in the environmental field.
