摘要
This is a reply to the comment [J. Opt. Soc. Am. A 26, 2181 (2009)] on our paper that appeared in J. Opt. Soc. Am. A 21, 1192 (2004). In the paper the Helmholtz equation was used to introduce the expression of Eq. (2), which generates the fractional Bessel beam (FBB) when n is a fractional number. The paper, however, did not convey whether the FBB is a solution of the Helmholtz equation. (C) 2009 Optical Society of America
