Post seizure anterior dislocation of shoulder - Beware of recurrence

Glenohumeral instability following seizures is usually of the posterior type. Rarely patients can have anterior dislocation of the shoulder following an epileptic seizure. Although these are treated similar to usual anterior dislocations of the shoulder they need regular follow up to detect any recurrent shoulder instability for which the treatment will involve skeletal reconstruction.
