NUMERICAL SIMULATION OF CASTING THERMAL STRESS BASED ON FINITE DIFFERENCE METHOD

摘要
In this paper, a discretization method based on finite difference method for solving the equilibrium equations in terms of displacements is presented. This method can deal with the boundary conditions of casting conveniently, just by employing different partial derivatives to correct the inner control volume's discretized equations' coefficients. The derived discretized difference equations coefficients are tridiagonal system, and can be solved by line Gauss-Seidel method. A three-dimensional code using this method was developed for solving thermal-elasto-plastic stress during solidification process. As an example, a stress frame casting was simulate by the program. Both displacements and stresses simulation results are in good accordance with the accepted facts.
