摘要
Objective: This study identified perceptions of family meal benefits and family meal preplanning patterns among African Americans (AAs) living in health disparity zip codes in the Deep South. Design: Surveys that included demographic information, perceptions about family meal benefits, and preplanning behaviors Results: Study participants with limited meal preplanning practices were less likely to participate in family meals. Conclusions: This study provides a greater understanding of some of the specific practices related to the time and the number of family meals planned by individuals in this population that may contribute to the low number of family meals they experience.
