摘要
The study of the oxidation behavior of Al-2-O-3-based composites with 10 or 20 vol% Mo particulate was conducted to reveal the reactions of the Mo exposed to air The Mo and MoO3 powder were also tested as the comparison cases. The results reveal that the Mo in Al2O3 composites which have 20 vol% Mo undergoes mass loss above 650 degreesC, and the rate is the combination of oxidation and sublimation. The sublimation of newly formed Mo oxide results in a porous surface layer.
