摘要
this paper presents a Q-band linear power amplifier (PA) designed for wideband high order M-QAM transmission scenario aiming for backhaul application. The linear PA consists of multiple stage amplifier with variable gain, complemented with digital predistortion (DPD). Variable gain characteristic of the proposed PA is analyzed based on the application scenario and implemented upconverter architecture. The proposed amplifier utilizes dynamic bias control to adjust its gain and digital predistortion is adopted to enhance the linearity of PA. Experimental measurement of digital predistortion on Q-band PA is conducted and the proposed implement achieves average output power of l6dBm, ACPR of-50dBc whereas current drop from 900mA to 400mA.
