摘要
The structural and magnetic properties of Fe particles grown in a Cu matrix by annealing a precursor alloy of composition Cu97Fe3 are discussed. Structural characterization suggests that all segregated Fe particles are BCC-type. However, AC susceptibility and hysteresis loops display short-range antiferromagnetic correlations and a spin glass-like behavior. The former is analyzed in terms of the effects occurring at the particle surface, while the latter is associated with the Fe spins diluted in the Cu matrix. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science B.V.
