(T)he paper presents experimental research results and aspects of mechanical characteristics of composite materials reinforced with wood sawdust, subjected to tensile stress. Sawdust, as wood waste resulting from sawing, is an important material resource, natural and renewable. The research sought to determine the influence of particle size on mechanical properties of composite. Like any other natural product, lignocelluloses materials are characterized by high diversity and variability of their properties, which are reflected on structures which incorporate them.
