摘要
The world is facing today a global energy transition challenge since developed countries need more energy for their economy growth in a framework of limited and poorly distributed energy resources. The Voltage Source Converter for High Voltage Direct Current (VSC-HVDC) is the most appropriate and efficient technology leading to accommodate more renewable energy and to balance the power over large areas. In this study, introduction of HVDC is considered to improve the stability and the flexibility of power systems: such as the increase of transmission capability, the improvement of static and dynamic stability and the decrease of transmission losses. The aim of this paper is to study a point to point VSC-HVDC transmission systems. The associated Voltage Source Converter model and its controllers are designed. Simulation results show the effectiveness of the proposed HVDC system.
