摘要
Satellite remote sensing with its comprehensive view of large river basins offers an ideal technology for monitoring floods. Just about all regions of the electromagnetic spectrum can be used for this purpose but sensors in the visible/near infrared and Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) are the best sites for this purpose. This paper reviews the space-based satellite technology that can be used for flood delineation and monitoring.
