Computer methods for electromagnetic analysis of electric rail traction systems

摘要
Some general computer methods for electromagnetic analysis of electric rail traction systems are commented, with particular regard to problems related to harmonic pollution and electromagnetic compatibility. Some modelling approaches are described in terms of possible applications, hardware requirements, mathematical models used, in specific applications to electric rail traction systems (modelling and simulation of power semiconductor devices, power electronic converters, electrical machines, traction line and track, signalling devices). Main requirements of software tools for industrial users are pointed out.
