摘要
Semi-structured data and unstructured data presentation are important topics in web-based information systems. Largely due to its semi-structured nature, XML is rapidly becoming the language of choice to publish data on the web. while it can not solve the problems caused by the uncertainty of semantics. Ontology integration plays a key role in information integration system, especially in the semi-structured information integration systems. This paper introduces an ontology-based extension to the XML query algebra proposes semantic representation and the formal definition of ontology firstly, discusses the ontology-based query mechanism, which includes ontology integration procedures and XML query rewriting mechanism secondly. and puts forward an information access mechanism in the last of the paper
