High-Frequency Asymptotics for the Total Scattering Cross Section of Strongly Elongated Spheroids

摘要：
New high-frequency asymptotic formulas are presented for electromagnetic and acoustic problems of scattering by asymptotically strongly elongated spheroids. Numerical computations show that when spheroids becomes less elongated, scattering cross sections tend to the classical high-frequency limit.
