Development of Street Basketball Culture in the Context of Economic Globalization Environment

摘要
China has transformed from planned economy to market economy for decades since the reform and opening-up. Such a significant change has not only transformed China's economy but also baptized China's sport culture with cultural feast brought by the reform and opening-up and street basketball is the product thereof. By analyzing and study on Chinese street basketball undertakings, the paper points out that Chinese street basketball has gone through considerable long rough journey from its infancy in 1970, to completely developing stage and then to current fully developing stage. From the perspective of the number of Chinese participants in street basketball, the number of people goes in for Chinese street basketball showed slowly increasing trend before and after 2010, and by 2013, the number of people has increased to around 0.9 million people, which indicates that Chinese residence has roughly recognized street basketball culture; by comparative analysis and relative analysis models, the paper analyzes several Chinese street basketball development influential factors, from which includes the number of people, time, address and weekly participation frequency in playing basketball, and points out that number of street basketball participants is main factor that affects the development of China's street basketball.
