The application of high-resolution shallow seismic reflection method in urban geological survey in Pearl River Delta

摘要
The Pearl River Delta is one of the most important economic centers in China, geological survey is extremely important for the fast expending cities in this area. A 2.2km shallow seismic common midpoint reflection profile is shot on an island near the estuary of Pearl River to investigate the buried fault and imagine the bedrock. A buried fault was found at the depth of -78m at 290m-340m in the profile, the result reveals that the fault is a normal and inactive fault as well as the depth of the bedrock interface.
