摘要
Simultaneous Wireless Information and Power Transfer (SWIPT) has become an attractive application for the wireless communication technology. This study focuses on a design of Rectifying Antenna (rectenna) for selectable operating frequency band between 1 GHz to 3 GHz. In this design, the elimination of matching network have been applied which lead to sonic advantages including minimization of the antenna structure and the fabrication cost. This paper presents an optimum design rectangular microstrip patch antenna resonates at 2.45 GHz which is around the center of intended operating band. The feeding is applied by rotating the patch to 60 degrees anti-clockwise which is known as off-center-fed patch (OCFP) state. This method is applied for creating multiple resonant frequency for indicate the antenna is directly matched to the rectifier impedance. Furthermore, varying distance of shorting pins is implemented along with variable capacitor. Results indicate antenna improvement in widehand frequency tun ability. This approach enhance efficiency of the antenna. It is observed that, by using the proposed approach, tunable frequency bands can be achieved. This rectenna shows excellent performance and suitable to be adopted in self-sustain battery less wireless sensor network application including for Smart Living IoT infrastructure.
