摘要：
This paper aims to analyze and discuss space restructuration, having as concrete situation the urban reality of Sao Goncalo, Rio de Janeiro. By analyzing the city of Sao Goncalo, in the context of Rio de Janeiro's metropolization, we gathered characteristics that allowed us to present a proposal for periodizing this urban reality, establishing the simultaneity between the times and spaces of urbanization. Our contribution falls within the scope of the problem of space, advancing the debate on the reproduction of society that is revealed in the production of urban space in Rio de Janeiro and in the urban crisis in Rio de Janeiro.
