Fabrication of Nanoporous Pt by Electrochemical Alloying and Dealloying with Li

摘要
Nanoporous Pt was fabricated by electrochemical alloying and dealloying of Pt with Li in a nonaqueous electrolyte at room temperature. The cycling of alloying and dealloying of Pt electrode with Li yielded porous Pt layer with a large specific surface area of 183. The coulombic efficiency for alloying and dealloying was ca. 80%, indicating residual Li in Pt after the dealloying. However, cyclic voltammograms showed no current peak caused by residual Li. This result suggests that Li forms a stable phase with Pt and has no effect on the electrochemical properties of the Pt electrode. (C) 2013 The Electrochemical Society. All rights reserved.
