The socio-professional reintegration of persons with criminal records

In Romania, the delinquency phenomenon has taken an increasingly higher magnitude, this being encountered especially in the lower strata of society, which is most affected by the economic conditions and decreasing living standards. The reintegration process for people sanctioned with a custodial measure can start right from the prison environment, with the help of specialty personnel and for people sanctioned with an alternative measure, it can start with the help of the Probation Service. Society's role is very important in the reintegration of persons with criminal records, society can avoid that these people fall again in the trap of criminality by giving them a second chance, thus helping to lower the relapse rate. This can lead to society being a safer place, so that it helps not only the person with a criminal record, but also itself.
