摘要
Polarisation studies (cathodic and anodic) of 1060 1100 and 3003 aluminium alloys have been carried out in aqueous solution of diethylamine at 308 K. Cathodic as well as anodic polarisation carves shifts towards low region of current density as the quantity of water in diethylamine increases, Active-passive nature of the curves has been, noticed for all studied alloys. Repassivation behaviour of the curves was found for 100 aluminium in 1% diethylamine and for 1060 and 3003 aluminium in 0.5% diethylamine. Decreasing value of pH of studied solution reveals the fact that diethylamine molecules get absorbed,ed on aluminium to form a film on its surface.
