摘要：
In this paper, we study the Cauchy problem of a weakly dissipative mu-Degasperis-Procesi equation. We first present several blow-up results of strong solutions to the equation. Then, we give an improved global existence result to the equation. The obtained results for the equation improve considerably the earlier results. Finally, we discuss the global existence and uniqueness of weak solutions to the equation.
