Synthesis of 3,5-disubstituted isoxazolines as potential antibacterial and antifungal agents

摘要：
A variety of 3,5-disubstituted isoxazolines were prepared by the condensation of hydroxylamine hydrochloride with various chalcones. The structures of new compounds were established on the basis of IR and H-1 NMR spectral data and their antibacterial and antifungal activities were investigated. The compounds showed significant antifungal activity against Candida albicans and moderate to feeble antibacterial activity against E. coli and S. aureus.
