摘要
"Multicultural," no longer a cold term from a textbook, it has been a vital criterion in high schools in Taiwan. Taiwanese government has offered subsidies for short-term study abroad program. A teacher observed that students who attended this program had difficulties using the prior knowledge to solve problems abroad even with the provided training course. In this study, a teacher used technology tools to improve and build up students' International Awareness, National Identity, Global Competitiveness, Global Responsibility and Language Awareness. Forty-four Taiwanese high school students participated in the short-term study abroad program in 2011. With the integration of technology tools and computer-assisted instructions, it had significant influence on students' International and Language Awareness. Furthermore, the integration not only shortened the cultural differences between Taiwan and Australia but also made students more capable to solve problems overseas.
