Environmental Education Practices: The Teacher Perceptions in Private Education in the City of Sao Paulo

摘要
The curricular matrices of schools, especially elementary schools, should ensure that Environmental Education knowledge is worked on transversally and through day-to-day didactic practices. In this context, this research investigates the teachers' view about the teaching of Environmental Education adopted in private schools and establishes a comparison between the agents interviewed and the schools studied. The results of this research revealed that, among the studied schools, only one presented a more significant concern with the transversality of Environmental Education teaching in its curricular proposal; the others were limited to of environmental and the use of traditional in classrooms.
