Web-based project logbook

This paper describes an interactive logbook developed to enhance the administration, assessment and educational benefits of undergraduate engineering design projects carried out in the final year of the course in Electronic and Computer Systems Engineering at the University of South Australia. The logbook, operating in the WWW environment, provides a structured approach to project work, increases its efficiency, provides effective communication means between the team members, and with the supervisor(s) and gives the students a serious motivation to what may be seen as routine administrative operation.
