摘要
A large potential for energy-saving exists in the existing residential building due to the fact that unit energy consumption of the existing buildings in China is excessive. It is also a fact that many existing residential buildings face comprehensive renovations in the coming years and in connection with this renovation process energy-saving measures can be implemented. In order to estimate the total savings potential detailed calculations have been performed in a case with three typical buildings representing the residential building stock in cold zones of China and based on these calculations an assessment of the energy-saving potential is performed. The evaluation results have shown that above 35% of this energy consumption could be saved and the energy efficiency 65% could be implemented, provided that using energy efficiently. Furthermore, every reduction in energy-usage has a significant influence on environmental protection and CO(2) emissions.
