摘要：
Efficient use of public resources is an important objective for public policy. Health care is a challenging application field with specific characteristics. In this paper, technical efficiency of long-term hospitals is evaluated by data envelopment analysis. The method evaluates technical efficiency of production units with the help of mathematical programming. In case that a hospital is inefficient, the method determines the sources of inefficiency and defines corresponding target values.
