摘要：

A hydrostatic cast system is developed to fabricate non patellar-tendon-bearing prosthetic sockets. The system aims to reduce reliance on skill and experience as in conventional socket casting methods. Casting will be carried out with amputees in a standing position to ensure that the shape of the stump while under load is obtained. This fabrication method hopes to be a cheaper alternative to current systems and make prosthetic socket manufacturing more accessible to amputees.
