摘要
Reactivity of fusion cast mullite and noble electrocorundum is investigated during heating at high temperatures. The reaction rate is determined at different temperatures and holding times at the highest temperature. Different kinetic models are applied to test the best one describing the process. Quantitative X-Ray Diffraction patterns and thermal analysis had been used to investigate the process and its results. Kinetic models are established for the reactions of mullite grains and noble electrocorundum grains and their dependence on the heating temperature and time is represented by graphs. The results are interpreted in correlation with practical applications for sintered refractories.
