摘要
Muscle ultrasound is playing an increasing role in the diagnostic work-up of neuromuscular diseases. Myosonography is currently used as a complementary tool in addition to routine electrophysiological procedures. As a screening tool, ultrasound can detect neuromuscular disorders with high sensitivity. However, quantification of the results remains a challenge. The detection of fasciculations using ultrasound is of interest for the diagnosis of ALS and will gain in importance in the future.
