Synthesis and characterization of magnetic polymer microspheres

摘要
In this study, aminogroup-modified magnetic polymer microspheres were synthesized by miniemulsion polymerization and characterized by IR spectrum, TEM photograph, particle size analysis and TGA spectrum. The results indicate that the magnetic polymer microspheres with symmetrical particle size and high magnetite content can be prepared by this method. Acrylic acid used for stabilizing the reaction system greatly affects the particle size and shape of magnetic polymer microspheres. The size of microspheres decreases from 1 mu m to 0.6 mu m with increasing the content of charged acrylic acid.
