摘要
The damage caused by strong earthquakes is usually enormous and requires huge amount of money and labor to return back to the usual life again. This study aimed to monitor the change in land surface temperature by considering the Niigataken Chuetsu Earthquake 2004 as a case and analyzed the land surface temperature. of the surrounding area before the occurrence of the earthquake. As a result of the study, we have detected a rise in the land surface temperature of around 6 degrees C in Kawaguchi Town, where a quake of magnitude 7 was recorded, indicating the trend of variation in the temperature before the occurrence of the earthquake. The results of the study are expected to participate towards the research of predicting potential earthquake in future.
