摘要：
In this paper we introduce and study the concept of approximate amenability (contractibility) modulo an ideal of Banach algebras. Based on the obtained results, we prove that the weighted semigroup algebra l(1) (S, omega) is approximately amenable modulo an ideal if and only if S is amenable and omega(sigma) is diagonally bounded where omega(sigma) is the induced weight on S/sigma for the least group congruence sigma on S.
