摘要
System for manufacturing process planning intend to document the technological knowledge of a company in order to better investigate its costs and performance evaluation measurements. The paper treats the development of a manufacturing process planning system under the semi-generative approach where an already existing standard plan is used as starting point to the new planning and as a knowledge base it the detailing alterations. The system is based on the Group Technology and Features concepts and is directed to rotational parts. The design informations are directly taken from the CAD AutoCad system and stored in a relational database intending to form a knowledge base to the manufacturing system as a whole. The system is being developed in PC platform, in Windows graphic environment.
