摘要
Scaling factor is one of the fuzzy logic parameters, which contributes significant effect on motor performance. This paper presents a performance analysis on the scaling factor of fuzzy logic speed control for vector controlled induction motor drives. The desired speed response is referred to zero overshoot with minimum settling time. The input scaling factors give significant results to the motor performance. In doing so, the scaling factors of speed error and change in speed error are determined through a systematic approach, and then the values are tuned manually in order to observe the motor performance through the scaling factor adjustment. The speed controller is designed by using MATLAB/Simulink, while the dSPACE DS1103 controller board is used for real-time implementation. This research focuses on transient acceleration, thus the performance evaluation is done through overshoot percentage, rise time and settling time of the speed response. From the analysis, the scaling factors that are obtained through the formula based on the parameters of the motor drive system are the best approach because of the optimum performance obtained by the motor. Therefore, a simple and systematic approach for obtaining the input scaling factors is feasible for the motor drive system.
