摘要
A compact Ultra wideband (UWB) elliptical ring monopole antenna is proposed operating in a frequency band ranging from 1GHz to 3.5GHz with a return loss less than 10dB over this entire frequency band. The antenna is printed on a 1.58 mm thick FR-4 substrate with 100mmx80 mm as substrate dimension and fed by 50 Omega microstrip line.CST Microwave studio has been used to design and simulate the above antenna. The Elliptical ring, Feed gap and Ground plane dimensions has been optimized to achieve stable radiation pattern. It has been seen that the gain is greater than 2dB in the entire operating frequency range with a maximum gain of 4.1 dB at a frequency of 2GHz
