摘要
In a developing city, infrastructure constructions involving road trenching often have negative effects on the running of traffic system. As is often seen, road capacity decreases where the road trenching is, which, in some cases, gives rise to a traffic bottleneck and degrades the service level of the local network. In this matter, it is demanded to properly control the construction time and total amount of road trenching and minimize the impact on urban traffic. In view of all these demands, a GIS-based Traffic Impact Analysis for Road Trenching (TIART) was set up. As an integration of two subsystems, Road Trenching Information Management System and Traffic Impact Analysis System, TLART aims to manage information efficiently and visually with the application of GIS, based on which traffic impact of road trenching is analyzed and decision support is presented to the users. This paper mainly presents the method used in road trenching management, clarifies the system structure and function, introduces the application of GIS in TIART and gives a description to the equilibrium model used in the course of traffic impact analysis.
