摘要
Facing the present teaching of graduate students in China, it is necessary to innovate the teaching and learning model of courses. In order to strengthen the research oriented study, a course of "Academic Seminar" should be set up for the graduate students. The purpose of the course is to widen the science and technology vision of the graduate students, to cultivate the research ability and to switch smoothly to the thesis stage for the students. The course covers academic reports, research methods, graduate training, thesis work, summary of literatures, and scientific and technological writings. The course specification, the reference textbook, the courseware and the collection of teaching cases for the course have been finished. The course takes the teaching methods of in-class lectures, classroom discussions, group studies, class presentation and course papers writings. The setup of the course has effectively improved the students' knowledge structures and research abilities, leading the students into their thesis work successfully.
