摘要
Traffic jams propagating in the congested traffic flow are investigated by the computer simulation and the analytical method. We study the propagation properties of traffic jams in the dynamical traffic model which is a simplified version of the car following models. It is shown that the traffic jams can propagate forward with increasing minimal velocity by computer simulation. The simplified model allows us to give the analytical result for the propagation velocity of traffic jams. The condition at which the propagation direction of traffic jams changes is analytically found.
