Liver transplantation in patients with acute alcoholic hepatitis.

摘要：
The diagnosis (particularly based on histological findings), prognosis, and treatment (mainly by glucocorticoids) of acute alcoholic hepatitis are reviewed. After an initial period of controversy, liver transplantation for alcohol-induced liver diseases has yielded promising results in several studies. Because the number of available liver transplants is now adequate, it is possible to consider conducting a new, prospective, open study in a cohort of selected patients with one-year survival as the primary criterion and alcohol-abuse recurrence at one year as the secondary criterion.
