Low-cost wireless sensor node for vibration monitoring of infrastructures

摘要
This paper presents a novel sensor node equipped a MEMS accelerometer and wireless device for data transmitting, which is aiming to design a cost-effective wireless sensor node for monitoring civil infrastructures. The performance of a trial piece of the sensor node is examined through bridge vibration experiments. In the experiment relay node and high performance antenna are used to improve radio transmission range. How to reduce the data missing during wireless data transmitting is also discussed. Specifically this study adopts both multiple packet transmission and the interpolation method based on AR process and Kalman filter to recover missing data.
