Social appropriation of science in the age of technology

The impact of high technologies available to an ever increasing number of people leads its to reflect upon the present role of science dissemination. The social appropriation has increased the gap between a reduced and select group of people and the masses at large who, however, utilize the technology without any commitment to its consecuences. The present work aims at the analysis of the present situation and proposes a new function for the science dissemination programs.
