Iterative building block approaches to discrete polystannane oligomers

摘要
New synthetic methodology has been developed that can be utilized for the iterative construction of several new families of discrete linear polystannane oligomers of the general formula, X-(R2Sn)(n)-Y (X = Y and X = R). A full analysis of these compounds by a variety of techniques, including variable temperature UV-Vis and Sn-119 NMR spectroscopies, has been performed, and the results of these investigations provide additional information regarding the structure/property relationships of this unique class of compound.
