摘要
Background: The use of cytotoxic chemotherapy is becoming increasingly common in veterinary practice. Although the majority of patients will tolerate chemotherapy without significant adverse events, febrile neutropenia can be life threatening. Therefore, vets who are administering chemotherapy should be aware of how to manage this condition. Aim of the article: This article guides practitioners on how to diagnose febrile neutropenia in oncology patients and outlines the approach to treatment and ongoing management of cases.
