摘要
Network equivalents are used to reduce the size of electrical systems that can be difficult to solve due to computational constraints. They are also useful for cases in which it is sufficient to model in detail only a portion of the system that is relevant for the study to be performed. The purpose of this work is to apply Kron's reduction method in combination with frequency domain modeling techniques and the numerical inversion of the Laplace transform to obtain the transient response of different power components defined by large matrix systems (in the order of hundreds of nodes). Three different applications: distribution network, machine winding, and transformer winding are presented. Comparisons between the complete systems and the corresponding equivalents provide identical results using a very small portion of the original computer time.
