Cyclic plasticity of cold-worked nickel at high mean stresses

摘要
Cyclic creep behaviour of cold-worked Ni was investigated at ambient temperature. The abrupt onset of the cyclic creep accompanied by the cyclic softening acceleration was observed after the initial cyclic creep deceleration period. A unique relation between the cyclic creep rate and the plastic strain amplitude for given mean stress was found. The ductile creep fracture was not observed for mean stresses exceeding one half of the ultimate tensile strength.
