E-Learning Communities: Meeting the Instructional Challenges of a Diverse Educational Environment

摘要
Electronic-learning communities, referred to as "e-learning communities" provide teachers with a more learner-centered approach, enrichment and new ways of interacting with teachers in isolated rural areas. This paper examines how e-learning communities established by using the online course discussion tool is used to promote instruction on how to teach English learners while developing critical reflection of pedagogical issues. At the end of the course a qualitative survey was used as an evaluation tool for rating the effectiveness of the course and highlighting areas for improvement.
