摘要
Higher education faces increasingly high requirements and challenges. The globalization process has involved positive initiatives for higher education, such as joint study programs and education regardless national borders, including internationalization. Higher education internationalization encompasses a diverse range of initiatives to facilitate adaptation to an increasingly globalized world. One of the strategies that may enhance such initiatives is mobility, that is considered a cornerstone in higher education, since it enables personal development and employability and increases cooperation and competition between higher education institutions. Student mobility is the form of higher education internationalization, which has emerged as a response to globalization. Technological development has introduced the concept of "virtual mobility" that has a great potential to contribute to internationalization, innovation and inclusion in higher education, enabling international cooperation opportunities through the use of information and communication technologies.
