摘要：
A HESS is a Hybrid Expert and Simulation System. Both expert systems and simulation tools are widely applied to management decision making, but simulation tools, in particular, are nor easy for managers to use. In this paper we report on the development of a HESS for resource allocation in service and manufacturing industries. The expert system is used as an intelligent user interface to increase the ease of use, promote the accuracy, and increase the intelligibility of simulation input and output to the user.
